Students will receive training in word roots, prefixes, suffixes, strategies for inferring meanings of words.
Students will also learn how to approach analogies, and will learn the particular analogy relationships and types used by each of the respective tests, as well as synonym and sentence completion strategies for those taking the SAT or SSAT.
Students will also learn reading comprehension skills: how to approach passages, read efficiently, identify types of answer choices typically meant to mislead students, and identify potential answers for both general and specific questions.
Additionally, students will practice writing essays, prepare literature, history, and personal examples which they can use on the test, and learn basic style and grammar techniques to make their writing more eloquent and effective. |
